Virginia parents “schooled” the Old Dominion political class in yesterday’s governor’s race.
Friend,
EXCITING NEWS: Virginia parents “schooled” the Old Dominion political class last night in the highly-contested gubernatorial race.
The Republican candidate for Governor defeated the progressive candidate by running on a PRO-parents platform and against the radical indoctrination of students in Virginia public schools.
This is a HUGE victory for Virginia parents, grandparents, and defenders of educational freedom, who sent a loud message:
Despite what some in the political class might think, parents aren't going to be pushed aside. They aren’t going to be canceled, censored, or called “domestic terrorists.” And they aren’t going to co-parent with the government.
Youngkin’s victory will send shockwaves nationwide, as parents across the country begin to feel empowered and safe to speak up for more leverage and better options for their children. They want school systems to remember that they work for parents and children, not for activist bureaucracies. And they want schools to educate, rather than indoctrinate.
Last night’s victory is ours to celebrate,
friend.
Independent Women’s Voice led the fight to ensure that all parents and citizens were aware of what was going on in Virginia schools—i.e. the content being showcased in schools was considered “too explicit” for late night television.
IWV also fought against the indoctrination of students in government-run schools, in defense of parents’ right to choose what’s best for their children, and to open schools and alleviate the challenges of pandemic learning.
Parents and students deserve better. Now, the hard work begins to enact real, positive change across the nation. But we need to know you’re in this next fight.
