John,
Danica Roem was just reelected to the Virginia House of Delegates – and defeated another anti-LGBTQ bigot to do it! She’s now faced down three anti-LGBTQ opponents – and won three times!
Her latest opponent, Christopher Stone, was proudly anti-LGBTQ. When anti-trans protestors in Loudoun County turned a school board meeting into riotous chaos, Stone voiced his support for them, claiming they were exercising "free speech" (tell that to the school board members they threatened). He's against marriage equality and LGBTQ adoption! He also opposed President Biden's handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, while saying it's worth looking into the false fraud claims about the 2020 election.
But Danica wasn’t intimidated by his bigotry – she stood up to him and the voters stood with her. We’re thrilled she’s headed back to the House of Delegates and keeps her title as the longest serving trans state legislator in U.S. history. If you can pitch in today so we can support more amazing candidates like Danica against bigots like Chris, we appreciate it! [[link removed]]
