Special Message from Cardinal
Burke to Operation Storm Heaven Rosary Warriors on November
1
Dear friends,
Coinciding with the Solemnity of the
Feast of All Saints, last night’s Operation Storm Heaven Mass and
Rosary were very inspiring. Broadcast Live from the beautiful,
Romanesque style St. Mary’s Cathedral in Portland, Oregon, Archbishop
Alexander K. Sample graciously celebrated the Mass filling for
Cardinal Burke.
In his homily, His Excellency detailed what
is meant when we say, “Saints.” Archbishop Sample then expounded on
the reality we are indeed engaged in an environment of spiritual
warfare, who the true enemy is, and the winning strategy to defeat the
enemy…with certainty!
This message resonated with all involved
with Catholic Action for Faith and Family as we know the reality is the 21st century is
indeed a moral and spiritual battlefield of immense
proportions.
It was due to this realization that on Oct.
29, I called on you and thousands of others to join me in a prayer initiative offering a Spiritual Bouquet for the intentions of the bishops of our
country as they gather in Baltimore for their annual Fall Assembly.
In our monthly Operation Storm Heaven Holy Mass and Holy
Rosary, we were sure to include this upcoming Assembly in our general
prayer intentions.
Tens of thousands of Rosary Warriors around the world
stayed-tuned following the Holy Mass as His Excellency recited the
Holy Rosary! They also remained with anticipation as Archbishop Sample
read ─ just prior to commencing with the Rosary ─ the statement sent
by Cardinal Burke to the Rosary Warriors of Operation Storm Heaven for
this solemn event.

Mass or would like to watch again, please click here. Please find the written statement from His
Eminence and read by Archbishop below.
By
His Eminence, Raymond Leo Cardinal BURKE:
“I extend warmest greetings
to you, my fellow Rosary Warriors, and assure you that I am united
with you today in the offering of the Holy Mass for your intentions
and in the praying of the Holy Rosary. I express deepest gratitude to
Archbishop Alexander Sample who, in my absence, is offering the Holy
Mass for you today. While my recovery from a severe attack of the
COVID-19 contagion progresses steadily, I am not yet able to offer
Holy Mass publicly.
With Archbishop Sample, as
was also the case with Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone in September
and October, you are in the best of hands.
Thank you for all of your
prayers for the intention of my health. Please continue to pray for my
full recovery.
Our prayers, as Rosary
Warriors, are especially needed at the present time. In two weeks, the
Bishops of the United States will be meeting to consider the grave
scandal of so many Catholic politicians who obstinately support and
promote policies, programs and legislation in violation of the most
fundamental precepts of the moral law. Let us pray for our Bishops, so
that they may find the most effective means to put an end to the
deplorable scandal and to carry out the Church’s mission in the world.
Let us continue to pray for the universal Church and all nations,
which suffer from so much confusion and error to the profound harm of
countless souls.
Thank you for your faithful
participation in Operation Storm Heaven. May God bless you and your
homes.”
May God bless all of you,
Thomas J McKenna
P.S. If
you have not had a chance to make your pledge to the Spiritual Bouquet for the US Bishops’ Conference Plenary
Assembly in Baltimore approaching (November 15-18), I invite you to do
so now.
