Earlier this year, #TimidTom O’Halleran was one of 130 House Dems who didn’t support HR 1384 (Medicare for All Act of 2019), which had an impressive 106 co-sponsors. Why was that?

Because, in the fewer than three years he’s been in office, he’s received $141,600 from anti-health interests. These include the big pharma and insurance industries that see their bottom lines endangered by a national health plan. These industries funneled a whopping $43 million into candidates earlier this year in order to sway votes against HR 1384.

Medicare for All is not a pipe dream—it’s a necessity. Health care is a right, not a privilege. I support universal, affordable, quality healthcare for all Americans. A Medicare for All single payer plan would improve health, save lives, and cost less.

The fact that our incumbent “Democrat” doesn’t agree is terrifying.

Are we really willing to put our health in the hands of a meek leader who puts corporate PAC money above the health and well-being of his constituents?
