Pop quiz. What was God's first commandment after He blessed mankind? (And it doesn't have a 'thou shalt not')

That's the subject of my recent podcast, 'It's time for Christians to dig up an old commandment and start subduing the earth.'

In the beginning...yes, way back when...God blessed mankind and told him to "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it..." (Gen. 1:28)

Are Christians subduing anymore? Or are we the ones being subdued?

I have to give credit to the unbelieving. They are doing a remarkable job at subduing the earth. It's hard to name an institution that they do not currently dominate -- the media, schools, government, the entertainment industry. Heck, some are even taking over our churches. I could go on.

As a response, some Christian leaders have called upon Christ's followers to create a Christian parallel society, with their own version of Hollywood, schools, the media, etc. Nothing wrong with that, but how do you create a parallel Christian government? That's not going to happen, but that's where the non-believing have the power to subdue us...literally!
