The World Leaders Summit at COP26 wrapped up with countries making a number of significant announcements and commitments to climate action. These included more than 100 countries that committed to end deforestation by 2030 and another announcement to slash methane emissions. A number of countries also made new financial pledges, including Japan, Scotland, Spain and Switzerland. Now, all eyes turn to the negotiations. “The first two days of COP26 offered the world a sharp reminder of the urgent need to accelerate climate action.
