Benton Harbor has been facing a terrible water crisis for THREE YEARS.  Residents have 59x the legal limit of lead in their water pipes. And what did Gov. Whitmer do about it? Ignored the problem. 

 

This is completely unacceptable and underlines a real issue in our state. Mainly - we need a new Governor.

In the real world, if you continuously fail at your job, you get FIRED. 

But for some reason, politicians like Gretchen Whitmer think they should be rewarded for it! She’s running for reelection despite failing our whole state for 3 years already.

 

She simply doesn’t think she has to live by the same rules we all live by. 

 

It’s all "rules for thee, but not for me!" with Whitmer. No accountability. No guilt. No leadership at all. 

 

That’s why I’m running for Governor to replace her.

See, I’ve never really understood this stand-back mentality of too many career politicians.

 

I grew up right here in Detroit during the '67 riots, watching tanks rolling down these streets. I remember snipers on the roofs.

 

I was with the Los Angeles Police Department when the Rodney King riots happened.

 

The police retreated, and let their city burn.

 

Since I've been Chief of Police in Detroit, the police have never retreated. We are here to protect our citizens.

 

Despite unrest across the nation, our city did not burn like Portland, Minneapolis, or Seattle.

 

There's one reason why: Leadership. 

 

Unlike too many who choose to stand in the back - I choose to lead from the front. 

 

I believe in accountability. In strength. And for standing up for what you believe in. Not this trendy "do as I say, not as I do" style politics.

 

It seems most Michiganders are with me. Despite our deep-blue reputation, all the latest polls show me TIED with Governor Whitmer.
