After realizing her limited capacity to fight systemic injustices case-by-case as a lawyer in the courts, Jasmine decided to take the fight for justice to the source: the state legislature. And it's a good thing she won in 2020 -- because she's been fighting from day one to protect Texans' freedom to vote from unprecedented attacks, defying the pressure as a new legislator to stay behind the scenes.
