** Hanan Ashrawi Will Speak at IsraelLobbyCon 2022!
------------------------------------------------------------
Conference organizers are pleased to announce the addition of another speaker to the all-star lineup: Dr. Hanan Ashrawi will join us at the National Press Club for the March 3, 2022 gala dinner and the conference on March 4. You can read more about Dr. Ashrawi at our 2017 conference website ([link removed]) . Other confirmed speakers include Roger Waters, Gideon Levy, Joseph Massad, Don Wagner, Stephen Walt and Sut Jhally. Keep an eye on the conference website ([link removed]) for future speaker updates.
The National Press Club continues to issue guidance about how it is successfully handling COVID-19 issues. From a new Bi-Polar Ionization HVAC system to additional cleaning processes, the National Press Club is taking charge, including managing all aspects of temperature checks and verifying the vaccination status of every person entering the facility. You can read a detailed summary of National Press Club practices at www.press.org/safetyfirst.
Since 2015, we've had tremendous success hosting annual in-person dinners, conferences and receptions at the National Press Club. As you know, we've postponed this conference several times because meeting in real life (IRL) was impossible. We will not be postponing it again. Here are the plans:
1. If you previously bought tickets for this conference for 2020, those tickets have already been transferred to 2022. We transferred all postponed gala speaker dinner and conference tickets to the new dates. You should have received your updated tickets and information from Eventbrite. If you did not, send an email to Dale Sprusansky
(
[email protected] (mailto:
[email protected]) ), and we'll send you another ticket link by email.
2. We will now be offering Zoom online webinar tickets to the public and current ticket holders. Current ticket holders who don't want or are unable to attend in person (in real life) will be allowed to exchange their IRL tickets for Zoom tickets. Contact Dale Sprusansky at
[email protected] if you need to exchange tickets.
3. All speakers who accepted our invitation to attend the gala speakers dinner, the conference and reception will stay as long as possible, in order to interact with the many attendees, members of the news media, academia, government, business, students and diplomatic community.
4. If public gatherings are again banned due to COVID-19, we will convert all IRL attendee tickets to Zoom and refund the difference in price. Once more, organizers will not again postpone this conference. The "production" will take place at the National Press Club under any scenario since the facility is secure, has the Internet bandwidth, sound engineering and high production values consistent with the importance of this annual event. All of our featured speakers will appear in person from the National Press Club to deliver their presentations and take questions.
5. We encourage potential IRL ticket buyers to make their travel arrangements early! Washington, DC won't likely forgive late arrangements as flights and hotel rooms fill up in the post-pandemic rebound.
