Hello Comrade!

Whether it's fighting for housing rights or marching for transit justice, Akron DSA members are there to stand up for the working class. Last month, we kicked off our priority campaigns Housing Justice and the Formation of Tenant Unions in Summit County Author and Political Education. There's a lot more to November than election day (though please reach out if you need help getting to your polling place today). Can we count on you to join us for this month's efforts?

As reported by the ABJ and Channel 19 News, Transit Workers Local 1 may strike starting Thursday, November 4. These workers have been working high-risk jobs throughout the pandemic and have been working without a contract since July 31, 2020. If you're excited to help Akron DSA support organized labor, please fill out STRIKE SUPPORT INTEREST FORM and expect to be contacted by email and phone as this situation develops.
