First, Republicans attacked Secretary of Transportation, Pete Buttigieg, for taking paternity leave — which by the way we think everyone should have access to!

The attacks began when word got out that Pete Buttigieg is taking paid paternity leave to take care of his newborn twins (the horror!).

Tucker Carlson mocked Pete on Fox News saying Pete was “trying to figure out how to breastfeed. No word on how that went.”

Some Republicans called it a “vacation” and even suggested Pete “resign.” And now, Republicans are blaming Pete for the supply-chain crisis. Tom Cotton even went on Fox News and suggested Pete himself is going to ruin Christmas.

Outlandish? Yes. Surprising? Hardly.
