Polls just opened for today’s elections!
John —
There are no off years.
Today is Election Day in Pennsylvania — the day where you get to make your voice heard by casting your ballot.
The right to vote is at the cornerstone of our democracy. But over the last year, we’ve seen relentless attacks from extremist Republicans on the 2020 election and the right to vote.
That right is sacred. Today, we have the chance to exercise it.
All of the fights we’re working so hard to win — for reproductive rights, civil rights, workers’ rights, and so much more — are won or lost on the state and local level. It’s more clear now than ever: these fights are up to the states, and to the leaders we elect today.
Polls are open today from 7:00AM to 8:00PM. If you plan to vote at the polls, find your polling place here: http://vote.pa.gov/AtThePolls.
And remember, if you’re in line at 8:00PM, stay in line — you can still vote!
If you requested a mail-in ballot and have not yet mailed your completed ballot, don't mail it. Make a plan to return it in person to your county's designated location: http://vote.pa.gov/ReturnBallot.
Remember: it’s your right to vote. If you're experiencing any trouble at the polls like intimidation or threats, report them using the Department of State’s election complaint form or by calling 1-877-VOTESPA (1-877-868-3772). You can also contact your county election office, which you can find here.
Once you’ve made your plan to vote, forward this email to 3 of your friends or family who live in Pennsylvania, and make sure they remember to vote too!
Thanks,
Team Shapiro
