John -- things are happening quickly so let's catch you up:

Just over a week ago, Texas enacted gerrymandered maps.

The Texas Tribune
"Gov. Greg Abbott signs off on Texas’ new political maps, which protect GOP majorities while diluting voices of voters of color"

A day later, a lawsuit supported by our affiliate the National Redistricting Action Fund was filed by Texas voters and Voto Latino, challenging the skewed congressional map.

The Independent
"Latino voters sue Texas over ‘absurd’ redistricting plan that dilutes minority political power"

But the work doesn’t end there. As we write this, states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Wisconsin are considering their own manipulated maps. We have to fight as hard as we can to stop them -- can you make an urgent donation to help?

A.G. Holder was 100% correct when he said that "We simply cannot allow Gov. Abbott to deny Texans a free and fair election through these undemocratic, gerrymandered maps that fail spectacularly to represent the state’s growing communities of color."

But mark our words: Republicans may think they can get away with rigging the next 10 years’ worth of maps. They’re wrong.
