Our Revolution is proud to endorse
Richie Floyd for St Petersburg City Council, District 8.



Richie is an active political organizer and a middle school science teacher who is running for council to make the city work for everyone. He joined a Monday Night Organize to Win National Call after his primary victory and says he wants to make sure that “St. Petersburg does what it needs to do to protect the vulnerable, the young people and the working people in our city.” That includes fighting for more affordable housing and higher wages, as well as combating climate change. “More powerful storms from a warmer planet are a real and present threat every single summer and fall,” Richie said.

Richie won a majority of support in the primary, but election rules require that he run citywide in the general election in order to serve on the council.

We know that people-powered campaigns can succeed, but we need your vote to get him over the finish line!
