Friend,

TODAY IS ELECTION DAY! Polls are open from 6AM to 9PM!

I know you’re getting flooded with hundreds of emails just like this one today -- but it’s because this election will determine the future of NYC. If we want to continue the growth and recovery of our city with the right leadership, each and every one of us needs to make our voice heard TODAY!

On the ballot, there are leaders with the experience and know-how to get things done, who will usher our city out of this pandemic. The following candidates have my full support, and I believe they should have your full support, too:

  • Eric Adams for NYC Mayor

As Borough President and as a State Senator, Eric Adams has dedicated his life to serving New Yorkers and has always defended the rights of all New Yorkers. He’s been a leader on issues that matter most to the residents of Southern Brooklyn, including pedestrian safety, common sense gun laws, defending immigrants, and protecting the rights of tenants. Working alongside Adams as his General Counsel, and later in Albany to fight for the issues that matter to all of New York, I have seen first hand that he has the courage required of public servants to make hard choices and stand up for what is right.

  • Brad Lander for NYC Comptroller

I have known Brad Lander for many years and know him to be an incredibly thoughtful policymaker and a committed advocate. I am thrilled to wholeheartedly endorse his campaign for New York City Comptroller. Brad has a track record of supporting small businesses, providing transparency, improving government programs and fighting for a fair and just economy. Through our shared vision to make our city streets safer to all who use them, I have seen firsthand how he works collaboratively with advocates, individuals and stakeholders to get results and make our city better. I have no doubt he will do the same as the City Comptroller.

  • Justin Brannan for City Council

We need someone who truly understands how to fight for us at City Hall. Justin is that someone. In his first term, he’s brought back more than $100 million to our district! That’s funding for new schools, renovated parks, senior services, more than doubling our sanitation services, and more. There’s a good chance you’ve already seen Justin and the work he’s accomplished - most people know that if you tag Justin on Facebook, it's like sending a bat signal calling for help to fix a local problem. And he gets it done.

  • Steven Saperstein for City Council

Steven Saperstein is ready to provide the hands-on leadership and day-to-day accessibility District 48 sorely needs. Steven is Co-founder of the Shorefront Coalition, where his community efforts include combating the opioid epidemic, improving our quality of life, hosting informational seminars, hosting school supply drives and coordinating food deliveries to support those in need during the Covid-19 pandemic. He also works as a special educator to empower students with disabilities and their families. I have full confidence that Steven Saperstein will be the change District 48 needs to thrive!

  • Ari Kagan for City Council

Ari Kagan has the right priorities to lead District 47. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Ari Kagan has been hard at work supporting our communities and small businesses. He has organized food drives, delivered meals to those in need and distributed masks and PPE to local businesses. Ari Kagan is ready to continue supporting and protecting our communities as your City Council member, providing the services necessary for a fair, safe, accessible and flourishing Southern Brooklyn.

This election, we’re voting for more than just elected officials -- on the back of your ballot, you will have a chance to vote on 5 ballot proposals that amend our state constitution. Make sure you vote YES to ALL 5 ballot props!

✅  Proposition One: Redistricting Amendment
✅  Proposition Two: Right to a Healthful Environment
✅  Proposition Three: Same-Day Voter Registration
✅  Proposition Four: No-Excuse Absentee Voting
✅  Proposition Five: Increasing the Jurisdiction of NYC Civil Courts

This election is too important to not weigh in on. I encourage you to check on every eligible voter in your household and make sure they have a plan to vote TODAY!

Sincerely,

Andrew
