"Wisconsin braces for bitter redistricting battle"

Let's talk about Wisconsin, team. Since the NDRC was launched with the support of President Obama, we've worked hard to secure fair maps in this hyper-gerrymandered swing state, including by helping to win elections (we helped defeat Scott Walker in 2018!) and supporting the nonpartisan People's Maps Commission established by Governor Evers.

But Republicans just won't let go of their manipulated maps:

A.G. Holder tweet: 'WISCONSIN: Looks like Republicans don’t want to be left out of the national GOP strategy of locking in previously gerrymandered supermajorities. The congressional map released yesterday is an absurd GOP gerrymander that was drawn behind closed doors and with zero public input.'

Our work to help elect governors who will defend fair maps in states like Wisconsin will be instrumental to reversing the gerrymanders of 2011. But in states like North Carolina, Georgia, and Texas, Republicans have full control of the process. Maps are being drawn NOW and we need the resources to fight back.
