We waited for months to see the details in President Biden’s domestic spending plan.

Instead of a strong bill that finally takes real steps to fight climate chaos, we got weak half-measures and taxpayer giveaways to corporate polluters. The Build Back Better plan fails to directly confront the oil and gas industry. They call it a compromise. But compromises won’t stop the climate crisis.

Build Back Better in its current form is a historically significant failure when it comes to addressing climate chaos. But we can still move President Biden to promote a safe and livable future. We need to keep up the pressure.

President Biden can and must use his executive authority to stop the expansion of fossil fuels, reject industry scams, and put the full force of his administration behind a transition off fossil fuels and onto renewable energy. Send a message to President Biden: The time for urgent climate action is NOW!

Thanks to pressure from people who care about our climate, President Biden ran for office promising to listen to science, stop drilling on federal lands and move the nation to a renewable energy future. But while he’s offered words of concern about the climate crisis, he’s made dangerous moves to appease the fossil fuel industry.

The handouts to the fossil fuel industry in the Build Back Better framework are a retreat from the real actions we need to address the climate crisis. Instead of giving money to polluters, we need to end new fossil fuel infrastructure, rapidly phase out fossil fuels and transition to real clean, renewable energy.

Take action today: Urge President Biden to promote a safe and livable future free from fossil fuels!

The latest United Nations Emissions Gap Report shows that plans to tackle climate change aren’t going far enough to avert a dangerous rise in global temperatures. It’s clear that there’s no time to delay.

The United States has been responsible for more emissions than any other country in the world. President Biden should use his platform and executive powers to rally the global community to tackle the climate crisis head on — and lead by example.

We know the President can do more for climate — and we’re going to keep pushing to make sure he does it. Tell President Biden to use his executive authority to combat the climate crisis before it’s too late.
