Today, the Supreme Court hears arguments about the Texas law that has effectively outlawed abortion in the state.

Let's be clear: Roe v. Wade and the right to get an abortion are at risk. But Congress can take action to protect abortion rights, regardless of the Supreme Court.

So I'm urgently asking you to take action right now. Demand Congress pass a federal law codifying Roe v. Wade.

Even since Roe v. Wade became the law of the land in 1973, abortion rights in our country have remained under attack. But from protests surrounding the 1992 case Planned Parenthood v. Casey to Women's Marches and beyond, we have met each of those moments with the urgency this issue requires.

Because abortion is health care. And someone's right to make decisions about their own body must remain protected.

We need that same urgency of history today. Please add your name alongside mine to demand action from Congress to protect Roe v. Wade.

A concerted attack on reproductive rights is underway and gaining ground. In Florida, Republicans are advancing a bill nearly identical to the Texas law. And it won't stop there by a long shot.

I promise you that this Democratic majority will never stop fighting to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. But we need you with us.
