Team,
The University of Florida has blocked three of its professors from testifying against the state's harsh new election restriction law.
The professors, all election experts, are now forbidden from being expert witnesses as part of a lawsuit challenging sweeping new limits on mail-in ballots and drop-boxes. The professors and their defenders strongly suspect that the administration of Governor Ron DeSantis, a champion of the voting restrictions, is behind the push to silence them.
Silencing critics is a new low and goes against a pillar of our democracy. Add your name and stand up for democracy →

Passing the new Florida law was bad enough. Muzzling its critics is even worse.
This censorship is outrageous, transparently political, and unconstitutional. It's also hypocritical. The same people who routinely criticize "cancel culture" are apparently embracing it with enthusiasm when it suits their political interests.
The new Florida election law deserves to be challenged in court, and the election experts at the University of Florida deserve to testify about their criticisms. If you agree, add your name now → [link removed]
Thanks,
Steve
