"As mayor, Joyce Craig has taken our schools from bad to worse. Performance metrics have plummeted since Craig took office, and some of our schools have proficiency metrics under 10 percent. That's beyond unacceptable. When pressed on her failed record, Joyce Craig only downplays the situation, making excuses and shirking responsibility. Enough is enough.
"Parents are taking their kids out of our public schools left-and-right, and even with tens of millions of dollars of federal help because of the COVID pandemic, Mayor Joyce Craig is still failing to improve our schools. When students flee Manchester schools they take with them up to $4,000 of funding each. Those dollars should be going towards our schools, but under Craig, they leave our district.
"As a former legislator who served on the House Education Committee and a former PTA President, I've devoted my life to increasing opportunities for a high-quality education for all of our children, and I'm prepared on 'Day One' to deliver for them."
