A Word From Our Party Leader

Portage-Lisgar PPC EDA,

People have asked me why is the PPC not challenging authoritarian covid measures in court.

There are many excellent organizations that are specializing in legal challenges, like the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms and the Constitutional Rights Centre.

These organizations have the expertise and the resources to launch these court challenges.

They also offer resources to help you deal with vaccine mandates at work and school. It’s their mission. I encourage you to support them.

We at the PPC don’t have lawyers in our team (I myself haven’t practiced law for decades), and don’t have the hundreds of thousands of dollars necessary to pay for court challenges.

Our job as a political party is to defend ideas, promote policies, and prepare for elections.

You know that I have participated in and held dozens of anti-lockdown rallies.

This week, I interviewed a Quebec lawyer, Hans Mercier, who is also fighting in court on behalf of unvaccinated government workers who could lose their jobs (in French only).

Over the past year, I also interviewed a representative of Police on Guard for Thee, and doctors and professors opposed to lockdowns and vaccine passports.

We’re fighting against covid measures for sure – not in court but in the political arena.

The more people we convince, the more difficult it will be for governments to implement such measures.

Portage-Lisgar PPC EDA, my team and I are focusing on what we do best: Make sure that Canadians hear the truth and have a real choice at the political level.

There is so much to do on that front! And we’re the only federal party that does it.

Many thanks,
-Max

The board met on Thursday, October 28th. We have changed our board meeting date to Thursdays to accommodate the schedules of our Secretary as well as the new VP of the board.

It is my hope as board President that this change will possibly assist in having more people join us at board meetings and eventually considering being a part of the board.

At our last board meeting, we discussed the issues with our payment processor and decided to no longer use it, but rather stick with only accepting email money transfers and cheques. If you would like more information on this decision, please feel free to contact the board office at [email protected] or the office number at 204-892-0056.

Please be aware that we are not always available to take your calls, so please do leave a message and we will have someone get back to you as soon as is reasonably possible.

On another note, we discussed continuing to assist and look after the needs of the Brandon-Souris constituency as they do not yet have their own active board. We decided to continue to serve both district areas with a determination to assist the Brandon-Souris area with establishing their own board.

If you know of anyone that is living in the Brandon-Souris area that is passionate about what is happening in our country right now and would like to get involved, we ask you to have them contact [email protected] or the office phone number 204-892-0056 so that we may connect with them.

A friendly reminder that our board meetings continue to be held online via Zoom video calls. However, you don't have to be on camera if you choose not to be. You may join us by phone if you like. We need to hear your thoughts and ideas in order to run the board and respond appropriately to the people of the Portage-Lisgar riding. So please do reach out to us, and encourage others to do so as well.

Our next board meeting will take place on Thursday, November 18th at 7:30 via Zoom, rather than the 11th in honour of Remembrance Day.  If you wish to join us, please send an email to [email protected] to be sent the link. The Zoom opens at 7:20 for a 7:30 prompt start time.
