The Build Back Better Act must include mental health and addiction parity Hello John, We need your help to make sure a key parity provision is included in the Build Back Better Act! Health plans continually violate the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act, which prevents health insurance discrimination against mental illness treatment coverage. Yet, the U.S. Department of Labor, which enforces parity for over 100 million Americans, cannot fine plans for violations. To deter parity violations, the Department of Labor must be allowed to hold plans accountable.
