John -

I ran for Congress last year because I knew my district needed bold, activist leadership.

What was true then remains true now: Change cannot wait.

It is in that same spirit that I'm thrilled to endorse Jessica Cisneros for Congress today.

I'm asking you to stand with me and make a $3 donation to her campaign right now. She can win, but only if we help her build a movement capable of creating a seismic shift.

Our country is at a crossroads, and as the Administration in Washington, DC continues to advance hateful, draconian policies targeting women, immigrants, and other marginalized communities, the experience and determination of candidates like Jessica Cisneros is more essential than ever.

That's why I need her fighting alongside me in Washington.

Jessica has devoted her life to fighting for her community. In Congress, she will be a voice for her district and stand up for those who have been targeted by this Administration.

These times demand bold advocacy and tireless activism - the people closest to the pain should be closest to the power - and we have a responsibility to work in close partnership with community. Jessica understands that and that's exactly the kind of leadership she will bring.

Can you help Jessica build the movement she needs to win by chipping in $3 today? Powerful interests will try to stop her at every turn, but together, we can defeat them.

Change is not easy in Washington. I've seen that firsthand over the past year. But it is possible, and it starts with making sure those within the halls of Congress represent the people.

Thank you for supporting Jessica. We need her leadership in South Texas.
