On Thursday, Jim grilled top executives of the big oil companies. When he asked each of them if they knew how much their industry receives each year in federal subsidies. What do you think their response was?

Estimates of the federal subsidies they receive range from $20 billion to as much as $650 billion!

Tennesseans know how serious climate change is. We’ve had seven recent major natural disasters just in Tennessee. Recovery efforts are still ongoing in Waverly after the disastrous floods in August. We must act now.

That’s why Jim is fighting to pass President Biden’s Build Back Better Act, which includes more than $550 billion to stop climate change. The bipartisan infrastructure bill also makes necessary investments in our communities to improve climate resiliency. This is the biggest climate investment in U.S. history. It’s huge!
