John, I'm eager to share the latest from CRC with you:
- Who's spending big on the Virginia governor's race?
Groups outside Virginia are pouring millions of dollars into the Virginia governor's race. The Democratic Governors Association accounts for one-third of the spending for Democratic candidate Terry McAuliffe, and labor unions account for another third. The Republican Governors Association provided most of Republican candidate Glenn Youngkin's outside spending. CRC's Hayden Ludwig breaks down the funding here.
- Who's leading the Left's latest disinformation project?
Democratic operative Tara McGowan will reportedly head Good Information, a for-profit "anti-disinformation" effort being funded by George Soros and Reid Hoffman, billionaire founder of LinkedIn and himself a known purveyor of disinformation. The group is also acquiring Courier Newsroom, McGowan's former liberal agitprop network. CRC's Michael Watson reviews the latest leftist moves in disinformation here.
- What is the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund?
Nearly $10 million flowed from one of the Left's most secretive "dark money" funders to one of its top activist empires in 2019, fueling campaigns ranging from radical racist groups that paint America's founding as racist to efforts to warp 2020 Census results to favor Democrats. Yet despite raking in some $300 million in 2019, the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund is not well known. Hayden Ludwig pulls back the curtain here.
- When is International Verbs Day?
Last week the AFL-CIO sank to new levels of wokeness as it celebrated International Pronouns Day and objected to left-leaning comedian Dave Chappelle's telling jokes about transgender people that audiences find funny. Meanwhile, most of the union rank and file have probably not given any thought to pronouns since high school, and the same Americans undoubtedly include many Chappelle fans. Michael Watson surveys the latest "social justice unionism" here.
Tom Wolf's Proposed Climate Catastrophe
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf (D) is on the precipice of deciding whether Pennsylvania should join the Regional Green Gas Initiative (RGGI), a multistate "cap and trade" agreement that sets limits on CO2 emissions. Joining the RGGI could result in closed power plants, job losses, and a loss of energy independence for the United States. Yet the governor doesn’t appear to care. Nor does he appear to care that the study used to justify joining RGGI is deeply flawed or that he may lack the legal authority to make the decision to join.

Election Integrity Begins with Local Politics
In this episode: Sarah Lee interviews CRC Research Director Michael Watson on how local politics are distorted by union activists.
Mike explains the role union organizers play in local and off-cycle elections, and how their involvement in local politics relates to election integrity problems at the state and federal level. Union activism also helps explain the broader, frankly radical, culture shifts Americans experience today.
