Dear Friend,

We are excited to share that Give to the Max Day giving is now open! This means that the impact of any gift you make between today and Give to the Max Day on November 18th could be multiplied by making ILCM eligible for drawings for prize grants, GiveMN matches, and more.

This year, we are raising funds to help support ILCM's work with refugees and asylees. Refugees are people who have fled war, violence, conflict or persecution and have crossed an international border to find safety in another country. Refugee status is defined and conferred by international law [LINK: [link removed]]. Asylees are those who have arrived in the United States to seek protection. They cannot legally become asylees until they arrive. ILCM supported over 300 cases involving refugees, asylees, and their families in 2020.

We encourage supporters to give $25 in celebration of ILCM's 25 years of serving Minnesotans. Additionally, we recommend checking with your employer about potential matching for charitable giving. Each year, an estimated $4-7 billion in employer matching gift funds goes unclaimed [LINK: [link removed]].

Please join us in standing with refugees and asylees today!
