Friends -- I know we've set a lot of grassroots fundraising goals for this campaign. Folks like you have stuck with us and pitched in to ensure we met those goals. That's how we've gotten this far, and that's how we're going to win this runoff election. But we can't take anything for granted, and we know that the big national groups trying to take me down aren't going to quit.

My team has set a grassroots online fundraising goal of $25,000 by October 31. This is an ambitious goal but I'm confident that with the support of people like you, friend, we'll get there. By reaching this goal, we'll be able to invest in all of the resources we need to ensure victory on Election Day. If we fall short, it could mean making some hard decisions about where to cut back. In a close election like this one -- with outside money flooding in daily -- we can't simply can't afford to miss this goal.
