My kids are putting the last touches on their costumes, and I’m sure you’re busy getting your candy ready for trick-or-treaters tonight too. So I’ll try to keep this quick.

Yesterday, my team explained why early money is so critical to our campaign’s success. Then they asked you to chip in to help us reach our very first monthly fundraising goal.

Well John, they just let me know we’re still about $3,000 short of what we were budgeting to raise from our grassroots supporters. I know if this team comes together we can get this done in the next few hours, so can I count on you to make a donation to help us reach this goal today?

I launched this campaign just over a week ago, and I’ve been so humbled by the support I’ve received since. Thanks to generous donations from supporters like you, we have the opportunity to close out the first month of this campaign in a strong financial position.

After talking with my team, it’s clear that we need to continue building on this momentum. We need to raise as much money as possible, as early as possible, to get a head start on growing our campaign into one that can -- and will -- defeat Brian Fitzpatrick next year. And there’s no time to lose.
