Friends,
The secret is out. InfluenceMap has revealed that the two worst climate obstructors in the country are lobbying groups for corporate America.
Two of the most prominent mouthpieces for corporate interests - the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Manufacturers - are the worst opponents of addressing rising temperatures and sea levels.
The Chamber and NAM won't disclose the sources of their funding; and I suspect there's a reason: I bet they get buckets of dirty fossil fuel money. When it's polluters signing the checks, transparency goes out the window.
But how about the rest of corporate America? Where were they when the fossil fuel industry hired away their big trade groups? They need to wake up and take responsibility.
That's why we have to call on the rest of corporate America to speak out - and today I'm asking you to join me in taking action. I've set a goal to collect 10,000 signatures, and I'm hoping you'll add your name. Right now, sign the petition and tell corporate America: quit letting your trade organizations support climate denial, and make them 'fess up who's been funding them!

The fossil fuel lobby has waged a decades-long war to obstruct action against the pollution they cause that harms our oceans and climate. Groups like the U.S. Chamber and NAM are a key part of this scheme.
Corporate America must now take action to right this wrong, and that starts with transparency. Today, I'm asking you to join me in calling for disclosure of the dark-money contributions to climate deniers. (Guess who we'll find writing checks behind the scenes!)
Sign the petition to tell corporate America: make your trade associations disclose dark-money contributions from polluters!
Thank you for taking action,
Sheldon
