This month we found out that our district -- California's 23rd -- grew by more than 10%. With redistricting underway, we don't know exactly how much more competitive it will become, but we do know our lines will change, bringing thousands of new voters into the fold.
I've spent the better part of the last decade doing community and electoral organizing. One thing I learned quickly is that we can't just focus on persuading voters, we have to expand the electorate by registering new voters too.
Our team has already analyzed the potential boundaries, and we've started reaching out to new and unregistered voters. We have a plan to reach as many as possible before McCarthy, but it takes grassroots resources to hire bilingual organizers to go door-to-door. That's where you come in:
