Polar bears
Center for     Biological     Diversity

Hi John,

Let’s talk about some of the really big news from our work in Alaska.

Earlier this year we secured a legal victory to stop what would have been the largest oil and gas drilling project in the Alaskan Arctic — one planned for the heart of habitat for polar bears, caribou and migratory birds. Meanwhile we protected Cook Inlet beluga whales from offshore oil and gas activity and we forced the government to reconsider its denial of federal protection for walruses. We also filed a lawsuit to stop harassment of polar bears in the Beaufort Sea.

Join us for our next Saving Life on Earth webinar to learn more about these recent victories, which were made possible by our members, and our other ongoing work to save Arctic wildlife.

The webinar on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. PT / 7 p.m. ET will feature Kristen Monsell, senior attorney and litigation director of our Oceans program.

You need to register to participate, so sign up and then check your email for a link to join the free webinar.
