COP26 must deliver. Here are our four key asks.

#

Dear Friend,

#

The [COP26 summit]([link removed] Campaign Email 2 311021 - US Donors&utm_medium=email), starting today, will bring parties together to accelerate action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

What do Send a Cow staff want to see COP26 deliver?

Our [four asks]([link removed] Campaign Email 2 311021 - US Donors&utm_medium=email), developed by the staff of the countries where we work, should be key policy priorities for world leaders in order to fight hunger:

- Equitable access to natural resources
- Affordable finance
- Community-led agricultural development
- Protection and restoration of natural ecosystems

#

Berhanu Feleke - Programme & Partner Support Manager, Ethiopia
"Properly listen to the voice of the poor countries in relation to the needs of small farmers and being pragmatic about their promise and COP26 leaders Global mandates."

#

Pamela Ebanyat - Country Director, Uganda
"Invest more in agricultural extension services to ensure they have the capacity to impart the knowledge and skills on small farmers to anticipate, respond and adapt to climate change."

#

We need to ensure that the voices of farmers in the 'global south' – who are experiencing the climate crisis first and worst, are heard during this vital decision-making opportunity.
