I know my team and I have been in touch a lot this week. That's because today marks the end of the month of October and thus, our fundraising deadline. Before I ask for you to chip in $3 to help close the $779 gap, please give me the chance to explain why it's important, especially now:

This past month, ten thousand workers at John Deere went on strike. I spent time on the picket line, and found other ways to stand in solidarity with them. It's not just my duty as an elected leader from Waterloo -- I'm the son of a John Deere worker and a firm believer in the power of workers coming together to demand what they deserve.

My opponent Kim Reynolds on the other hand had weeks to join them and has been noticeably absent. She chose to rally with Trump this month instead, and pander to the far-right on issues like immigration.

Iowa deserves better. We deserve a leader who stands with workers, not Trump. Especially when those workers are going up against a corporation that's made record profits this year. I believe our campaign can meet this moment, but right now I need your help getting the word out about what we're building to more Democrats and voters across the state.
