Team —
It is absolutely unconscionable that, in the year 2021, politicians are still trying to hinder voting rights and access. But after losing the House, the Senate, and the White House in 2020, Republicans are continuing to take aim at voting rights in order to undercut our Democratic House Majority — because they know that when more people vote, Democrats win.
I was so proud to cosponsor the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act through the House this summer, a historic piece of legislation which would restore the full protections of the 1965 Voting Rights Act and outlaw racially discriminatory voting practices.
If you agree that voting rights for all must be restored and reaffirmed now, add your name to demand that the Senate pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and put an end to voter suppression.

In 2021 alone, we have seen over 400 bills restricting voting access introduced in GOP-led state legislatures. Not only do these bills erode the right to vote, but these thinly veiled voter suppression bills will make it that much harder for Democrats to win and compete in competitive districts in 2022. We need to take action now to ensure that every single American can make their voices heard in the midterm elections so that we can hold Democratic control of Congress.
The future of our democracy is at stake: add your name now to demand that the Senate pass the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act and put an end to voter suppression.
