Ten days ago, we kicked off our critical Fall Campaign. This campaign's
results will tell us if we can fund our modest budget for the final
months of 2021.

So far . . . it does not look good.

While thousands of readers have stepped up and made contributions, too
many have not. Right now, we are still $38,000 short of our must-make
goal.

We only have a few days left in the campaign, and, quite frankly, I am
worried.

The only way we will be silenced is if our community of readers does not
step forward and support our journalism.
