Folks, it’s been a busy week for Team Heinrich — on top of endorsing dozens of local candidates and supporting Martin’s fight for a strong Build Back Better package in the U.S. Senate, we’re also up against tomorrow’s October fundraising deadline. Our fundraising deadlines aren’t arbitrary — we set them at the beginning of each FEC quarter so we can keep up our work for a stronger New Mexico and country. Martin shows up to lead each and every day, month after month, year after year — not just when he’s on the ballot. This grassroots team not only helps re-elect Martin, but also builds Democratic leadership at every level of government. Earlier this week, Martin endorsed two dozen candidates in New Mexico — from candidates for mayor and school boards, to soil and water conservation boards and city council. Supporting these candidates means that we can make a real, direct difference in your day-to-day lives. We also offer support to candidates in U.S. Senate and House races. With our Democratic majorities hanging by a thread nationally, it couldn’t be more important to support battleground races like Gabe Vasquez’s House election in New Mexico and Mark Kelly’s Senate race in Arizona. While we do all of this, Martin is also working hard in the U.S. Senate to secure a climate-centered Build Back Better deal that lowers costs and cuts your taxes, and builds America’s economy of the future. It’s because of his relentless work with his fellow Democrats that this legislative package will include the biggest investment in addressing climate change in the history of our country.
