Not many people know this, but Alexandria’s re-election was the second-most expensive congressional race in last year’s midterms.
Her Republican opponent raised over $10 million against our movement from corporate interests and wealthy, conservative donors. They plastered lies and insults about Alexandria on right-wing news stations and on mailers delivered to thousands of residences across the district.
Now the same forces are coming together to try and defeat Alexandria and our movement in 2022. In just the last few months alone, Republicans have raised a cumulative $174,249 to run against us in next year’s midterm elections.
That’s why we’ve set a goal to match that amount before the end of this month. If we can raise $174,249 in less than two days, we’ll show Republicans that their corporate and special interest dollars are still no match for our grassroots, people-powered movement.
