Morgan is calling for a series of debates between herself and Tim Ryan because it’s what the voters deserve. Tim Ryan and the party both quickly shot down our attempts at debates.
When our team found out that the Ohio Democratic Party (ODP) has been working with Tim Ryan to fundraise, we were outraged. Not because of how much more difficult it will be to keep pace with Tim Ryan’s fundraising when he’s in cahoots with the ODP (although that’s true!) - we were outraged at the attempt to rob Ohio voters of choice.
We’re fighting tooth and nail to bring some equity and fairness back to this race. We want a public forum with equal opportunity for each candidate to make their case to Ohio voters.
Tim Ryan’s refusal to debate us is a major red flag, folks. 🚩🚩🚩
Morgan has BEEN ready to speak for herself and let the voters decide. Even if the party and Tim Ryan want to deny voters the chance to hear from their Democratic candidates, it’s up to us to keep our foot on the gas and up the pressure.
