Sign up to be a poll greeter: Most Arlingtonians vote in person on Election Day, and poll greeters are critical to ensuring Democratic victory in Arlington! Voters will only know who our terrific local candidates are if we give them a sample ballot! That includes County Board Members Katie Cristol and Christian Dorsey, who are both on the ballot this year. Shifts last two hours, and you can sign up for as many as you want! This is the LAST weekend before election day on November 5! That means it is your last chance to join the Arlington Young Democrats to help flip the Virginia Legislature. 

We have two opportunities for AYDers to canvass, depending on your schedule:

1 - Come down to Norfolk with us on Saturday, November 2 and help out Phil Hernandez. We'll be doing an overnight and meeting up with other AYD members to canvass for Josh Cole in Fredericksburg on Sunday!

2 - If you can't come to the overnight, no problem-- we also have an option to stay closer on Saturday the 2nd and help out Dan Helmer in Fairfax Station! On Sunday, you can meet up with the first group at the Josh Cole canvass in Fredericksburg.

The Arlington Young Democrats, in partnership with Equality Virginia, call on members and allies to volunteer for this important Equality Means Business campaign, which seeks to find local businesses willing to pledge that they will not discriminate against their employees or customers who are members of the LGBTQ community!

Our Arlington community is one of the bluest in the Commonwealth, and it’s time we start living our values through our businesses. But we need help getting the word out!

Volunteer to help AYD contact local businesses in Arlington (in person or by phone) to tell them about this important campaign and help them join! We will provide all volunteers with a sample script to get you started. Sign-up here!

Want to help elect Democrats in less than an hour a month? We're recruiting Arlingtonians who live in apartment and condo complexes to serve as building ambassadors. You'll arrange voter registration events, remind your neighbors about upcoming elections and welcome candidates to visit.

Being a building ambassador is easy and fun! Many of our ambassadors find it a great way to meet their neighbors. Arlington Democrats will provide you with all the help that you need.
