John,
This month, the Biden Administration announced the restoration of Bears Ears National Monument, an important and exciting move to protect the splendor of one of the country’s most special places for generations to come.
But of course, our Republican opponent Ryan Zinke had a problem with it, calling the decision part of a “radical, left wing” agenda. And with his corrupt record, it’s no wonder why.
In 2017 under the Trump Administration, Zinke drastically shrunk Bears Ears by 85% in an attempt to open the lands up for oil and gas drilling and other mineral extraction.
In doing so, Zinke ignored local communities and Tribes in their requests to keep Bears Ears whole.
Zinke has made it clear: he’s not interested in listening to the concerns of communities or protecting the landmarks that make our nation so special — he’s just looking out for big corporations.
In just over a year from now, Montana has a choice: elect this guy to be our next representative in Congress, or Laurie Bishop, a qualified, compassionate leader devoted to listening to and serving people.
With our October fundraising deadline right around the corner, it’s all hands on deck to reach our fundraising goals to keep the campaign on track! Will you pitch in $5 or whatever you can today to help us send Laurie to Washington to fight for us? We can’t do it without you!
