While much attention is always given to the top of the ticket, every day, local candidates make decisions about the future of California. They ensure communities have access to adequate services, help address the housing crisis, keep our communities safe and schools competitive, and so much more.

It’s absolutely critical that our mayors, city councils, school boards, and more are full of people-powered Democrats ready to fight for change.

However, we’re in for a tough fight to make that happen. After losing the recall by embarrassing margins, the California Republican Party is looking to local races to rebuild and entrench conservative policies in California.
