All 50 Republicans in the Senate voted against beginning debate on the Freedom to Vote Act
Team,
Late last week, all 50 Republicans in the Senate voted against beginning debate on the Freedom to Vote Act — their latest takedown of legislation to protect voting rights.
Now, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act — a bill championed and passed in the House by NewDems — represents our last opportunity to pass meaningful legislation that will safeguard the right to vote before the 2022 midterms.
If you haven’t done so already, we need you to make your voice heard on this: Sign our petition demanding the Senate take action and PASS the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act now! [[link removed]]

The late Representative John Lewis devoted his life to protecting the sacred right to vote for all Americans. Now, we’re fighting to honor his legacy by making sure that the latest wave of restrictive new election laws from Republican-controlled state legislatures are shut down before the midterm elections.
This bill would put checks in place that make it harder for Republicans to pass laws aimed at restricting voting access for low-income people, students, and people of color — and we’re counting on you to help us get it across the finish line:
