President Biden Must Take Responsibility For His Self-Made Crises

Hard-working families all across America are paying the price for the multiple crises that have been created by President Biden’s big government, socialist agenda. Families are feeling the pain at the pump, seeing empty shelves at the grocery store, and paying dramatically more for everyday household goods.
President Biden admitted that he doesn't have a "near-term answer" to lower gas prices, yet he canceled the Keystone XL pipeline, green-lit the completion of Russia's Nord Stream 2 pipeline, and begged OPEC+ to produce more oil. While the President jets off to attend his international climate conference in Europe, American families are experiencing higher utility bills, and the multi-trillion-dollar tax-and-spending spree that Congressional Democrats are attempting to ram through Congress will only hurt lower and middle-income families more.
The good news is that House Republicans have an answer to Biden’s energy crisis. Let’s reverse the Biden Administration’s costly climate policies, and return to the days when we were an energy dominant nation and gas prices were less than $2 a gallon.
Applauding the Senate for Passing the Secure Equipment Act
Earlier this week, the Senate unanimously passed the bipartisan Secure Equipment Act that I authored with Rep. Anna G. Eshoo (D-Calif.) to prevent China from infiltrating America's telecommunications network and compromising our national security. Senators Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Ed Markey (D-Mass.), who introduced similar legislation in May, helped usher the bill through the Senate.
The Secure Equipment Act forcefully signals to the Chinese Communist Party that America is committed to protecting the privacy and security of our citizens. This legislation now heads to President Biden's desk to be signed into law.
Honoring an American Hero
I spoke on the House Floor this week to honor Jared Keyworth, a Senior Inspector for the U.S. Marshals Service who tragically lost his life in the line of duty this month while in pursuit of a violent felony offender.

Inspector Keyworth, who was from Mandeville, was an American hero. He will forever be in our hearts and minds, and we are eternally grateful for his service to our country. Jennifer and I will keep his family in our prayers.
