We're not just working to ensure Jamaal can continue legislating in Congress and holding the line for the Build Back Better Act. We're also building up a progressive movement unlike anything NY-16 has seen before — and our work has only just begun.
But we're now facing even more challenges to our progressive movement than in recent memory, including:
- Establishment Democrats like Joe Manchin, working overtime to block our bold, progressive agenda in Congress
- Jamaal's first challenger, who filed to run against him in the 2022 midterms in the fight for our seat
- Brand-new redistricting maps in New York, which could greatly alter the boundaries of Jamaal's district
There's a lot that's happening, and we need to do everything we can to ensure our movement is strong enough to withstand the obstacles ahead. Jamaal's not backing down to fight for us in Congress — so neither can we.
