Since the first round of payments started hitting bank accounts across the country in July, the Child Tax Credit has assisted the families of sixty one million children, with low-income families spending nearly all of their payments on food, rent, utilities, clothing, and school supplies.
The Child Tax Credit is so significant that it’s projected to cut childhood poverty in half — and Sara has been a champion for it since day one. But not a single Republican voted in favor of this crucial legislation. There’s no doubt about it: if Republicans take back control of the House in 2022, the Child Tax Credit and so many other programs that benefit American families will be on the chopping block.
Between an already slim majority and upcoming redistricting, Democrats can’t afford to lose a single seat if we’re going to keep the House blue in 2022 — and that starts in our district. Our campaign has a major end-of-month fundraising deadline tomorrow night, so we’re asking if you can chip in today to support our work and keep Sara in Congress working hard on the issues that matter.
