The Granite State also experienced a terrible loss this past week. Staff Sergeant Jesse Sherrill passed away following the collision of his cruiser and a tractor trailer. Staff Sgt. Sherrill was highly regarded by his colleagues, and on behalf of the Party I would like to offer my sincerest condolences to his family. He spent everyday working to keep New Hampshire residents safe, and his loss is felt by all of us.
In the words of our Governor Chris Sununu,"He was an individual who nobly answered that call to service and who was steadfast and devoted to the safety and well-being of all of his fellow Granite Staters,".

Rep. Judy Aron Responds to Anti-Semitic Comments
Concord, NH- Representative Judy Aron (R-South Acworth) released the following statement in response to anti-Semitic comments made by Representative Maria Perez (D-Milford). Rep. Perez on October 23rd commented, “from the river to the sea, Palestine will be free!”
Rep. Judy Aron (R-South Acworth):"Israel is the ancient homeland of the Jewish people and has been recognized as such for centuries. Zionism is the natural yearning of the Jewish people to return to their homeland to enjoy their self governance and sovereignty. Anti-Zionism is Anti-Semitism and should be repudiated.”“I am very concerned that Rep. Perez has made such a declaration and I hope she will study some history to understand the natural, historical, and rightful claim to the land of Israel by the Jewish people. It is my hope that both sides of the current conflict can find a peaceful resolution and comments like hers do not further that goal."
Background: The American Jewish Committee states (LINK) that “From the River to the Sea” “...calls for the establishment of a State of Palestine from the Jordan River to the Mediterranean Sea, erasing the State of Israel and its people. It is also a rallying cry for terrorist groups and their sympathizers...which called for Israel’s destruction in its original governing charter in 1988.”

Republican Spotlight - Candidate Paul Callaghan |
|
|
Today's Republican Spotlight shines on Rochester Mayoral Candidate Paul Callaghan!
Paul is an outstanding member of the community, having spent over 25 years serving Rochester as a police officer and now as a prosecutor and lieutenant in the Strafford County Sheriff Department.
Since the start of his campaign, Paul has made it a point to be super active, and spends his weekends connecting with voters - knocking on doors across the community and getting to have one on one conversations.
We appreciate Paul's willingness to remain active within the Rochester community, and would like everyone's help in supporting his campaign! Check out his Facebook page, and consider providing a donation or ordering a yard sign. Even better, repost his page on your own wall, and share his page with friends and family around Rochester.
“I have lived my entire life in Rochester. My wife and I have raised three wonderful children in this community. I have served this city as a police officer for 25 years, held leadership roles on many boards and committees, and I have coached youth sports. "I want to say to all the residents of Rochester, after serving our community for many years, it would be one of the greatest honors of my life to continue to serve you, the people of Rochester, as your mayor." - Paul Callaghan

Thank you to everyone who made our first ever NH Republican Women’s Leadership Conference & Retreat a massive success! This is the first time New Hampshire has held an event of this size entirely dedicated to GOP women. NHFRW is operating at our highest capacity ever, producing consistent results for our members and raising more money than we have in years past which we are utilizing strategically to spread our message and build our bench of Republican women! We'd like to thank Jay Lucas & Karen Ballou Lucas for hosting our Opening Night Welcome Party in Portsmouth, NH featuring US Senator Kelly Ayotte, Executive Councillor Janet Stevens & our Lilac Society Sponsors: Corky Messner & the NH Advantage PAC and Gail Huff Brown. We'd also like to thank NHGOP Vice Chair Pamela Tucker for hosting our Cocktails & Capitalism Closing Reception in Rye Beach, NH featuring Karoline Leavitt, Gail Huff Brown, Matt Mowers, Tim Baxter and Julian Acciard! During our conference, we heard from NHFRW President Elizabeth Girard, Governor Chris Sununu, Speaker Pro Tempore Rep Kim Rice, RNC National Committeewoman Juliana Bergeron, RNC Director of Women's Engagement Vanessa Faura and Speaker Linda Upmeyer from the Iowa GOP - among others! We received publicity from the National Federation of Republican Women, WMUR, Governor Chris Sununu and so many of you! We are so appreciative of all the support within our organization! Congratulations to NHFRW President Elizabeth Girard on being reelected unanimously for a second term as the youngest State President nationwide and the 2022-2023 Executive Officers: Rep Deb Hobson (1st VP), Hon. The New Hampshire Federation of College Republicans is the officially chartered state organization for College Republicans all over the state of New Hampshire. With chapters at Saint Anselm College, Plymouth State, UNH, SNHU, Dartmouth, Franklin Pierce, and Keene State, the NHFCR has representation for a wide swath of the state. Executive board members include Chairman Ben Mickens, Executive Director Joseph LaCreta, Vice-Chair for CD1 Nate Twarog, Vice-Chair for CD2 John Michitson, Treasurer Kevin Chrisom, and Secretary Jessica Long. Our chapters are driven to keep college students engaged with conservative politics by bringing speakers to campus, presenting students with conservative internship opportunities in the state, and doing grassroots campaigning. The Federation board looks forward to helping get our chapters to a post-COVID reality while we work to keep Republican leadership in Concord as we push for Republican leadership in DC.
