The future of our Second Amendment rights is hanging in the balance as the 9 Supreme Court Justices will hear a seminal case that will decide if we have a right only to keep arms or a right actually to BEAR them.

New York has one of the most restrictive concealed carry laws in America, requiring average, law-abiding citizens to demonstrate a “proper cause” to obtain a permit to carry a firearm outside the home, thus relegating their right to self-defense to a government-granted privilege.

I’m Chris Mathys, and I’m running for Congress as a U.S. Army veteran where I took an oath to protect and defend the Constitution—the same document that gives me the “proper cause” to keep and bear arms. The Second Amendment is the one right that protects all others, and I take my oath to protect and defend the Constitution very seriously.

At a time when murders have jumped 30%, and radical leftists are seeking to defund police, catering to the woke demands of Antifa and BLM, our right to self-defense has never been more critical—or more relevant.
