I have some pressing news from my home state: Democrats are being outspent in this year’s AG race, and it could hurt our chances to win next year.

That’s because Mitch McConnell’s lawyer is the Republican nominee for Attorney General of Kentucky. If he wins, he’ll wield enormous power and he’ll use it to protect Mitch McConnell and his corrupt buddies, emboldening McConnell’s attacks on our democracy. We cannot let that happen.

It’s going to be a lot harder to defeat Mitch in 2020 if we don’t stop his lawyer in 2019. That’s why I’m asking you to step up and help Democrats like Greg Stumbo fight back against these dark money attacks. Make no mistake, many of the same folks who bankroll McConnell are behind the dark money ads smearing Democrat Greg Stumbo’s record in the race to become Kentucky’s Attorney General. They know how much is at stake in this year’s election.
