President Biden has announced a framework deal on the comprehensive Build Back Better investment agenda that, when passed, will invest in our families, communities and futures on a scale not seen since FDR's New Deal.

To make sure we get our Build Back Better investment agenda passed through Congress, we must hold the line and make it clear that there will be no vote on infrastructure without a vote on Build Back Better. We are at risk of losing our leverage and everything we’ve fought for in Build Back Better if Congress votes on the bipartisan infrastructure bill first. That’s why we’re demanding Congress hold the line: No vote on infrastructure without Build Back Better!

This means we need legislative language confirmed for the Build Back Better legislation and clear assurances from 50 senators that they will vote for it. Then, Congress should vote on both bills together.

The historic Build Back Better legislation, which is paid for by finally asking the rich and the corporations to pay more in taxes, will help all of us. And it is especially important because it provides a once-in-a-generation opportunity to prioritize people of color, working families, and immigrants, and lift millions of children out of poverty.
