This past week, the Senate and House were back in session on Capitol Hill.

Most of the week was taken up by the Left’s negotiations on their $3.5 trillion tax, debt, and spending bill. Biden announced Thursday that they reduced the size to $1.75 trillion, but that number isn’t final and it’s not quite truthful—the ACTUAL spending number is even higher––keep reading to see why.

And in Georgia, we’re taking action to expose the Left’s hypocritical attacks on Georgia’s election reform law––check out what we did below!
Heritage Action Slams MLB Executives
On Friday, Heritage Action aired a TV ad statewide in Georgia and Washington, D.C., during game 3 of the MLB World Series.

This six-figure TV ad buy thanked Governor Kemp and the Georgia state legislature for making it easier to vote and harder to cheat in their historic election reform bill, SB 202.

Here’s a timeline of events:


- In March, the Georgia state legislature passed SB 202 and Gov. Kemp immediately signed it into law. 

- Throughout April, May, and June, the Left and their woke cronies smeared this law as ‘racist’ and ‘Jim Crow 2.0,’ when what it really did is implement common-sense reforms like voter ID. The law was about making it easy to vote, and hard to cheat. And in July, the MLB rewarded the woke mob by pulling the MLB All-Star game from Georgia, costing hardworking Georgians and local businesses $100 million in revenue.

- Now, the fake outrage has subsided, and the World Series is in Atlanta. And all those woke individuals, woke corporations, and woke MLB executives who boycotted earlier this year, will be watching and cheering on the Atlanta Braves.




And that’s when they’ll see our ad, calling out their hypocrisy and defending Georgia’s improved election laws!

Dems’ Sneaky Budget Gimmicks
It’s been a busy, busy week for Democrats as they try to come up with a deal to pass trillions of dollars in additional taxes, debt, and spending.

On Thursday, Biden announced a ‘paired-down’ version of their massive bill. The top-line number for the bill is now $1.75 trillion dollars, down from $3.5 trillion.

$1.75 trillion is better than $3.5 trillion, right? Well, think again. The Left is playing accounting tricks to make their top-line spending number seem smaller than it actually is.

Here’s how their budget gimmicks work:



- Tax increases over a 10-year period: Green New Deal taxes, tobacco taxes, an army of IRS agents (more about that later), and additional tax increases will go into effect over a 10-year period. That’s important––these taxes will be in place for 10 years to pay for new spending.

- Meanwhile, new spending programs are temporary: Most of the new spending includes partial and temporary funding <[link removed]> for many programs. Here’s an example––Obamacare will be expanded only through 2025 and both child care and pre-K programs will be funded for only six years.




Do you see what the Left is doing? They’re raising taxes over a ten year period to pay for programs only for the next few years.

You may be asking a simple question: don’t the Democrats want these programs to be permanent? The answer is YES!!

Everyone knows that the hardest thing to kill is a federal program. Once it’s created, it lives on forever.

And if the program is wasteful and ineffective, it will only grow faster, as politicians throw even more money at the problem. The bureaucracy only grows!

Democrats are counting on these four and six-year programs to get extended, expanded, and become eternal.

So, the real cost of the $1.75 trillion dollar bill will be far greater in the long run, and will add trillions to the debt. The Left loves to claim moral authority with their economic agenda, but saddling our children and grandchildren with insurmountable debt doesn’t seem moral to us.
IRS Army Coming for You
The problems with the Democrat’s tax, debt, and spending bill is not just it’s size, but also the specific policies it enacts….like doubling the IRS army to harass and investigate everyday Americans.

That’s right, Congressional Democrats want to fund the IRS by an additional $80 billion to double the amount of IRS agents, adding 87,000 new agents to go after YOU.

Treasury Secretary Yellen and the administration claim these agents will go after billionaires, but is that really the case?

The answer is no––the Dems want to include another provision that allows the IRS to spy on any bank account with annual cash flows of $600.
Most Americans’ bank accounts have cash flows above $600 (think rent, food etc.). These 87,000 new agents will simply go after everyday, hard-working Americans. Meanwhile, the Left will give away hundreds of billions of dollars in tax credits to corporations that transition to renewable energy.

Washington hypocrisy at its finest––attack the little guy and reward big, woke corporations.
Virginia Activists are Working Hard
Next Tuesday, voters will head to the polls in Virginia to cast their ballot for Governor.

It’s a very important election, and we want to thank all our Virginia activists who have volunteered to work as poll workers and poll watchers. Their efforts will help ensure that every legal vote cast will count!
